Brent J. Chudachek
Mr. Chudachek concentrates his areas of practice primarily in labor & employment law and in the representation of public employee benefit plans. He pursues and defends FLSA, FWA, ADA and Florida state law claims for matters such as overtime/wages/commissions owed as well as discrimination claims. He also handles other labor and employment matters including but not limited to non-compete agreements, employee handbooks, policies and enforcement and drafting of employment agreements. He works extensively in drafting and reviewing contracts in general whether they be for employment services or other areas of law. He is also well experienced in drafting and revising numerous municipal ordinances for passage on behalf of public employee benefit plans and cities.
Mr. Chudachek regularly counsels and advises business owners, human resource managers and management employees on all aspects of the employment relationship including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, firing, wage and hour issues, discrimination issues, ADA, FMLA and FLSA compliance, employee discipline and discharge issues. He drafts and revises employee handbooks and regularly counsels clients on maintaining compliance with federal and state laws. He is well versed in drafting and enforcing non-compete agreements for employers as well as advising or defending employees against non-compete agreements.
