Qasim Rashid is an attorney based in the Chicago office of Lorium P.C. Mr. Rashid’s practice focuses on matters dealing with business litigation, non-profits, civil rights, business consulting, media consulting, and consumer finance. Mr. Rashid began his legal career working for a major financial institution to build out consumer finance protection policies and help manage corporate litigation for a $1.2B portfolio. He then pivoted his practice to include non-profit and civil rights matters, where he has worked with several national non-profit organizations focused on women’s rights, racial justice, and religious freedom.

Mr. Rashid has represented a wide variety of clients, including businesses, financial institutions, CEOs, non-profit organizations, incarcerated citizens, undocumented immigrants, and elected officials. He also brings several years of experience working with in-house counsel on legal and financial regulatory matters.

Qasim Rashid has published extensive peer-reviewed legal scholarship on racial justice, civil rights, and international human rights. He is also a published author of a children’s book, Hannah and the Ramadan Gift (2021, Penguin Publishing) and is a former fellow at Harvard University. Mr. Rashid is a Truman Project National Security Fellow and sits on the boards of various non-profit organizations working on issues ranging from civil rights to international conflict resolution. He is also the host of The Qasim Rashid Show on SiriusXM Urbanview Channel 126.

Mr. Rashid was born in Pakistan and raised in the Chicagoland area. He and his wife Ayesha have three children. An avid runner and marathoner, Mr. Rashid has run multiple Chicago Marathons, Chicago half marathons, and hundreds of races nationally. He dreams of one day walking on another planet.
